The Belgrade International Film Festival  has evolved to become one of the most important festivals and a pillar event of Belgrade’s cultural life and an indispensable element in the coming of age of many generations of film amateurs.

Traditionally, films are divided into several sections, including main program that consists of movies created by audience’s favorites, competition program Europe outside Europe and In Focus, which this year presents the South American cinematography.

There will be 75 titles in different programs and it seems that it will be one of the strongest programs in the last few years. Festival program includes the latest works from some of the biggest names in world cinema, including Steven Spielberg, Paul Thomas Anderson, Woody Allen, Walter Salles, Bernardo Bertolucci, Brian de Palma, Terrence Malick, Giuseppe Tornatore, Abbas Kiarostami, Takeshi Kitano, Ken Loach, Alex de la Iglesia and others.

Films will be shown in five festival halls – Sava Center, Cultural Center Of Belgrade, Dom omladine, Yugoslav Film Archive and Fontana Cinema.

Tickets cost from 200 to 350 dinars and can be purchased at the box offices of festival halls from February 1.
