Zones

Parking places in city center are divided in three zones with time limits.
The parking time is limited to 60 minutes in the first (red) zone, 120 min in the second (yellow) and 180 min in the third (green).
In zone designated areas charging of fee for using a public car park will be conducted between 07.00 to 21.00 during the weekday and from 07. to 14.00 on Saturday.
After the parking time expires, the client cannot park the car in the same zone in the next 30 minutes.

Parking paying:

• By parking ticket – may be bought at kiosks in every zone. After arriving at parking place, write down arriving time and put the ticket to be visible in the interior side of the front windshield glass of your car. In the yellow zone it is possible to buy ticket for parking for one or two hours of parking. In the green zone there are tickets for parking which are valid for one, two or three hours of parking.
• By mobile phone – in the message, type your registration mark and number from license plate, without space and send on SMS number of zone in which you are located, i.e 9111 (red zone), 9112 (yellow zone) or 9113 (green zone). Soon upon sending an SMS you receive the SMS confirming that the parking for the vehicle of the number plates entered has been covered.
• By parkomat – in the red zone you may make payment on the spot by automat placed near parking. Automat is programmed to eject ticket that you will put to be visible in the interior side of the front windshield glass of your car.
Parking areas within these three parking zones are indicated by special traffic signs bearing the colour of the zone as well as by road markings.

A zone without a time limit enables a driver to pay for the parking as many hours as they wish. Parking is charged per hour or by buying a several hours parking ticket.

Illegally parked vehicles, at the instruction of the Traffic Police, are towed to several different locations, depending on the location of the violation:
• From New Belgrade and Zemun: Staro sajmište
• From the city centre: Vidin kapija and Slavija
• From the south of the city: Ada Ciganlija

A police fine and vehicle towing tax are payable.
Illegally parked vehicles towed at the instruction of the public utilities inspectors (in the event that they were parked on a grassed surface) are towed to:
